Speech Therapist in Oakland, OR
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This position, beginning January 5, 2026 and concluding June 12, 2026, invites you to make an impact in a supportive school setting near Oakland, OR. With a weekly commitment of 40 hours and a manageable caseload of approximately 50 students, you’ll help shape young learners' communication skills and foster their academic and social growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility upon hire)
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) is a plus, though clinical fellows are strongly encouraged to apply
- Ability to tailor therapy approaches based on diverse student needs and district preferences
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative speech-language services to a caseload of K-12 students
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and participate in eligibility meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote progress and carryover of communication strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete progress reports in a timely manner
- Adapt to district-specific settings and demonstrate flexibility based on student needs and staff input
