School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Myrtle Creek, Oregon
A school-based position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at an elementary school located in Myrtle Creek, OR. This contract role offers a new school year (NSY) engagement from January 5, 2026, through June 12, 2026, providing 40 hours per week of professional practice.
The SLP will serve students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade, managing a caseload of approximately 50 children. The ideal candidate will be prepared to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders within a school setting, working collaboratively with educators and families to support students’ speech and language development.
Key qualifications and desired experience include:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience in school-based speech therapy, particularly with K-12 populations
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Open to clinical fellows; candidates with recent certification are warmly welcomed
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school policies
