Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid Oregon speech-language pathologist license and/or Oregon teaching license with the appropriate endorsement
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-Speech) preferred
  • Several years' experience as a school-based SLP, including work with moderate and severe disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of both low and high-tech augmentative communication systems
  • Valid Oregon driver’s license
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with students, parents, and staff
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Current First Aid/CPR card may be required

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and direct intervention for assigned students
  • Collaborate with special education team members, teachers, and families to implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve communication skills and support student success
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in district meetings and professional development activities as scheduled
