In this full-time contract role, you’ll provide onsite speech and language services throughout the 2026–2027 school year. Your expertise will make a difference for students in district elementary schools as well as those in non-public schools receiving district support.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license in Michigan (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience with school-based caseloads, especially at the elementary level, is highly desirable
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Commitment to providing inclusive, evidence-based interventions for diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language assessments and therapy onsite
- Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in alignment with district and state requirements
- Support students in elementary schools as well as those enrolled in non-public schools within the service area
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, families, and administrators to promote student success
- Maintain detailed records, progress reports, and compliance documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for ongoing student support
