Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a collaborative school setting. We're seeking a dedicated SLP or SLPA to provide exceptional speech and language services within three medically fragile classrooms from August 10, 2026, through December 2026. There is potential for an extension through the full school year depending on needs. You’ll be covering a maternity leave and working alongside another experienced SLP and an SLPA.
Key Qualifications
- Valid CA Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification
- School-based experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency using AAC devices with medically fragile student populations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in three medically fragile classrooms
- Collaborate with fellow SLP and SLPA for effective case management and coverage
- Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Provide ongoing support related to AAC device use and communication strategies
- Consult and train staff and families on best practices to facilitate carryover
- Maintain accurate and timely records for each student’s progress and compliance
