School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Murrieta, California

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language therapy services in a supportive elementary school environment near Murrieta, CA. This role begins August 10, 2026, and continues through December, with the potential (though not guaranteed) to extend through the academic year. You’ll be covering a maternity leave, collaborating with a dedicated team serving three medically fragile classrooms. An additional SLP and SLPA are on-site, ensuring a team-oriented approach and peer support.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in medically fragile classrooms, adapting interventions to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with other SLPs and SLPAs, sharing caseload and supporting continuity of care.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide progress reports in accordance with school policies.
- Integrate Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices into therapy sessions, supporting students’ communication goals.
- Communicate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA); CCCs preferred for SLPs.
- Prior school-based SLP or SLPA experience is required; experience with medically fragile populations is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated expertise with AAC devices is essential.
- Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and values interdisciplinary input.
This school-based contract role offers a predictable schedule of 32.5–35 hours per week, allowing for meaningful student impact while supporting a healthy work–life balance.
