Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Mullins, SC
A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Mullins, SC, supporting students within a school setting. This role focuses on evaluating, diagnosing, and providing therapy to students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, playing a vital part in enhancing their academic and communication success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among students.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines.
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, administrators, and special education teams to promote student progress.
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, eligibility assessments, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Valid South Carolina SLP License or eligibility to obtain one, issued by the SC Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- Certification or eligibility from the South Carolina Department of Education.
- Strong understanding of special education laws and procedures, including IDEA and the IEP process.
