Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services to elementary students for a maternity leave coverage from September through November. This role offers full-time hours (37.5 per week) in a vibrant, supportive school environment, focusing on making a real impact onsite.
The ideal candidate brings experience or enthusiasm for working with pediatric populations in school settings. Both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and those with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) are welcome to apply, and there will be opportunities for collaboration and mentorship. Please note: this assignment is for an onsite SLP, and does not include teletherapy or SLPA supervision.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow applicants will be considered
- Previous experience in pediatric, healthcare or school-based SLP roles preferred
- Comfortable with elementary-aged caseload and IEP documentation
- Passion for fostering communication skills and supporting student growth
- Strong collaboration skills to work with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse elementary caseload
- Complete timely and thorough assessments, re-evaluations, and progress monitoring
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation in compliance with school and district standards
- Consult and collaborate with classroom staff, administrators, and families to support student needs and integration
- Take an active role in promoting effective communication and language development
