Key qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for state SLP licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to create and implement individualized treatment plans
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify areas of need
- Develop and provide direct therapy services in small group and one-on-one settings
- Document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, sharing observations and recommendations
- Consult with teachers and staff to integrate speech-language strategies into the classroom
- Monitor and adjust interventions based on ongoing student assessment
