Key qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for state SLP licensure
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to create and implement individualized treatment plans

Primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify areas of need
  • Develop and provide direct therapy services in small group and one-on-one settings
  • Document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, sharing observations and recommendations
  • Consult with teachers and staff to integrate speech-language strategies into the classroom
  • Monitor and adjust interventions based on ongoing student assessment
