Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous school-based speech therapy experience highly valued
- Deep understanding of language-based learning disabilities
- Familiarity with recognizing and supporting students with indicators of dyslexia
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to maintaining documentation and following school protocols
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy for elementary students throughout the maternity leave coverage period
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized plans for students with language-based challenges
- Implement targeted interventions for learners with dyslexia and related needs
- Regularly monitor progress and adjust strategies to support each child’s growth
- Participate in team meetings and provide insights for student IEPs
- Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
