School Speech Language Pathologist - Mission Viejo, California
Step into a dynamic school-based role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the San Juan Capistrano area for the upcoming academic year. You’ll cover three unique leave-of-absence SLP roles, each with an average caseload of about 55 students. Whether your start is in September, October, or as soon as possible, there is a strong likelihood these positions will extend through the end of the school year. Collaborate with dedicated educators and a supportive SLP team committed to student communication success.
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active California SLP license.
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred, especially in preschool, elementary, and/or middle school.
- Strong assessment, intervention, and case management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
As a key part of the school’s multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services, including screenings, evaluations, and treatment plans.
- Deliver therapy across age groups, adjusting strategies for preschool, elementary, and middle school needs.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student growth.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative problem-solving.
