About the Position
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, therapy, and consultation services for students in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ communication development, academic success, and overall educational experience.
Job Duties
- Evaluate students to identify speech, language, communication, and related needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students across assigned grade levels
- Complete assessments, evaluations, progress reports, and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
- Provide evidence-based interventions targeting articulation, language development, fluency, social communication, and other areas of need
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Collaborate with educational teams to ensure students receive appropriate services and accommodations
- Support an inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and independence
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist license through the Minnesota Board of Social Work? No — Minnesota Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Valid Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) Speech-Language Pathologist license/credential required for school-based practice
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or completion of required Clinical Fellowship requirements
- Completion of required supervised clinical experience
- Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and school-based service delivery models
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to effectively support students with diverse communication needs
- Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
