Step into a dynamic contract opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist supporting middle school students near Minneapolis, MN. This position runs from September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a 37.5-hour workweek and a manageable caseload of 30-45 students. You'll leverage your expertise to help students reach their full communicative and academic potential in a supportive, collaborative setting. The school welcomes candidates who hold their CCC and is also open to Clinical Fellows, with supervision available.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota SLP license AND valid school SLP license (required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; open to strong Clinical Fellow candidates
- Previous experience in a school setting or working with students ages 11-14 is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering positive learning environments and supporting student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services to middle school students across Brooklyn Middle School and Maple Grove Middle School (1.0 FTE)
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and deliver both individual and group therapy
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to monitor progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Engage in data collection and progress monitoring to inform treatment and adjust interventions as needed
- Offer guidance and classroom strategies to support communication needs within the educational setting
