This contract opportunity is perfect for a skilled, board-certified Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to share expertise and mentorship in a dynamic educational environment. You’ll lead services on-campus, offering specialized support to students while collaborating with a talented Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
Key Qualifications:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Minnesota SLP licensure in good standing, or eligibility to obtain
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable supervising and guiding an SLPA
- Ability to work on-site throughout the school year
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy for students at two middle schools, addressing speech, language, and communication disorders
- Oversee and mentor an SLPA who will deliver the majority of direct services
- Complete assessments, develop IEP goals, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow support staff to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school and regulatory requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff consultations, and professional development as needed
