Preferred background and skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible California SLP licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in K-12 school settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
Key responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student's unique needs and goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on communication supports
- Offer both individual and group therapy sessions that support students in achieving their academic and social potential
- Consult regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to promote generalization of communication skills in the classroom
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of services and student progress
