School Speech Language Pathologist - Milpitas, CA
Make a meaningful impact in education by providing essential speech-language services to elementary and middle school students in an engaging onsite setting. This contract position is ideal for a skilled SLP with their CCC and a passion for supporting diverse learners. Bilingual fluency in Spanish is highly valued, as you’ll work with a multicultural caseload of TK-8th grade students—about 20-30—helping to develop communication skills that are vital for academic and social success.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Hold current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure for speech-language pathology
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency required
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy services to students onsite
- Maintain and document progress in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Contribute to IEP meetings and help develop goals tailored to each child's unique needs
- Advocate for culturally responsive and inclusive therapy practices
