Speech Language Pathologist in Millbrook, AL
Step into a rewarding contract role serving students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a vibrant educational environment. This opportunity is based onsite and extends through May 2027, providing stability and the chance to make a tangible difference in children’s lives. As part of a dedicated team of five SLPs, you’ll deliver both therapy and evaluations across manageable caseloads, ensuring personalized and impactful care for every student you serve.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active ASHA CCC required
- Current Alabama SLP Educator Certification, or eligibility to obtain (start with pending status allowed)
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP role preferred
- Strong assessment and therapy planning skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities
- Capacity to manage a caseload of up to 60 students across multiple campuses
- Commitment to providing services onsite (voco/remote not available)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to K-12 students
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development
- Maintain detailed documentation and uphold all district and state compliance standards
- Rotate between up to three campuses in a split assignment, contributing to consistently high-quality support at each site
