Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Smyrna, DE

Make an impact in the lives of elementary students as a Speech and Language Pathologist working within a supportive school community near Dover, Delaware. This contract position involves guiding approximately 55 elementary students through their journey to overcome speech and language challenges during the 2022-2023 school year.
In this role, you’ll assess, diagnose, and provide therapy services tailored to student needs, working closely with both teachers and families. Whether you’re a seasoned clinician or beginning your SLP career, your expertise will help students reach their fullest communicative potential.
What you'll do:
- Evaluate student eligibility for services in articulation/phonology, voice, fluency, and language.
- Conduct timely reviews of IEPs, as well as initial and re-evaluations.
- Schedule and deliver both individual and group therapy sessions.
- Consult and collaborate with teachers and parents to develop effective strategies for supporting students with speech or language difficulties.
- Provide mentorship or supervision as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Active Delaware State license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; candidates with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status are also welcome.
- Experience working in school, pediatric, or related settings is valued.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
