Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
- Active state licensure as an SLP (Texas)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, though clinical fellows are also encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in school or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Strong skills in assessment, therapy planning, and documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students for speech, language, and communication delays or disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each student’s IEP goals
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote best outcomes
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group formats
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Stay up to date with best practices and relevant continuing education
