Speech Language Pathologist in Meriden, CT
Bring your expertise as a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to an exciting contract opportunity working with K-12 students in a supportive, school-based environment. This full-time, onsite position features two openings to cover maternity leave placements—one beginning at the end of September through mid-December, the other spanning mid-November to the beginning of January. With 35 hours per week, you’ll provide invaluable speech and language services that help students thrive academically and socially.
We’re seeking passionate professionals who enjoy making a difference and excel in a collaborative school setting. Your ability to build rapport and support diverse students is vital to student success.
Qualifications:
- Current, active Speech-Language Pathology license in Connecticut
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Minimum of one year’s school-based SLP experience
- Comfortable working with K-12 populations
- Willingness to complete district fingerprinting and background checks
- Upfront licensure highly valued
- SLPAs will not be considered for these roles
- Availability for a Zoom interview
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services for a varied caseload of K-12 students
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and implement evidence-based interventions
- Maintain detailed documentation compliant with school and district standards
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and parents to promote positive student outcomes
- Provide both individual and group services in alignment with each student’s IEP
