School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Menifee, California
Ready to make a meaningful impact this fall? An exciting opportunity awaits for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or SLPA) with specialized experience to provide essential support in a school setting. This contract position covers a maternity leave, starting August 10, 2026, through December 2026, with the potential—but not guarantee—of extending through the school year.
You’ll work alongside a collaborative team at an elementary campus, supporting three medically fragile classrooms. The assignment is well-supported, as there will be another SLP as well as an SLPA assigned to the site. If you’re passionate about working in pediatric settings and skilled in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, your expertise is highly valued here.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid CA licensure and credentials for either SLP-CCC or SLPA
- Demonstrated experience working with AAC devices
- Background with pediatric or school populations preferred, especially in medically fragile settings
- Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team
What you’ll do:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students in medically fragile classrooms
- Collaborate closely with educators, paraprofessionals, and another SLP/SLPA to ensure comprehensive support
- Complete thorough and timely documentation in compliance with regulations
- Contribute to and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Offer expertise and support to students using AAC technology
SLPAs with relevant experience will be considered. Enjoy a schedule of 32.5–35 hours per week, allowing for work-life balance while making a difference.
