Take on a rewarding assignment supporting students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathology professional in an elementary school setting near Menifee, CA. This contract opportunity is ideal for individuals experienced in school-based therapy, ready to begin on August 10, 2026, and continue through December 2026, with the potential for extension.
You’ll be covering a maternity leave at a friendly campus, working directly with three medically fragile classrooms. Collaboration is key—an additional SLP and a dedicated SLPA are also assigned to this caseload, ensuring a supportive and team-based environment. Candidates with proficiency using AAC devices are strongly encouraged to apply. This position is open to both SLPs with CCC and skilled SLPAs.
Key Qualifications:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for SLPs, or qualifying SLPA credential
- Previous school-based experience, preferably with medically fragile students
- Proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices is mandatory
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to dynamic classroom environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students across three medically fragile classrooms
- Develop and implement IEP goals in conjunction with educational and clinical teams
- Utilize AAC technology to support students’ communication needs
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation
- Communicate progress and collaborate regularly with teachers, aides, and families
This opportunity offers a weekly schedule of 32.5–35 hours, supporting work-life balance. SLPA compensation is set at $81.90 per hour. For SLPs, hourly rates range from $95–$98.
