Travel Speech Therapist in Mcdonough, GA
A travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for an elementary school located in McDonough, GA. This opportunity involves working onsite with a caseload of 60 students, primarily serving students with multiple disabilities (MOID) and autism spectrum disorder (Aut GC). The position offers a consistent 37.5-hour workweek from ASAP through May 22, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students with diverse communication needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Valid Georgia SLP License or Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Certification (candidates must hold at least one upon start; both required eventually)
- Prior experience working with pediatric populations, especially elementary school students, preferred
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques for students with multiple disabilities and autism
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with educational teams
Location and Schedule:
- Onsite position at an elementary school in McDonough, GA
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
