School Speech Language Pathologist - Marrero, LA

Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to an on-site, full-time contract role supporting elementary students in the heart of New Orleans. This position offers the opportunity to make a real difference during a maternity leave coverage, from September 14th through November 30th, working with a diverse caseload of young learners.
As a valued member of the school's support team, you'll address communication challenges and collaborate with educators to ensure every student has access to quality speech therapy services. This position is ideal for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists as well as Clinical Fellows looking to broaden their school-based experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP-CCC or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow; open to new grads
- Louisiana SLP licensure or ability to obtain
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to a caseload of 50-60 elementary students
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify individual needs
- Develop tailored IEP goals and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, and families to maximize therapeutic outcomes
- Maintain detailed records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Provide all services fully on-site
