Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Preferred: Active North Carolina State SLP license (strongly encouraged for this role)
  • Background working with pediatric and school-based populations
  • Understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance with special education regulations
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP mandates
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow specialists to promote student success
  • Educate staff and families on communication strategies to support student learning
