Step into a fulfilling part-time opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This contract role places you near Manhattan, IL, offering a summer assignment from June 8th through July 14th, totaling 20 hours per week. Your expertise will help students develop vital communication skills while you advance your career in a supportive educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold or in process of obtaining SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA credentials suitable for school-based practice
- Prior experience in a K-12 or school-based setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with a range of communication disorders and intervention strategies for school-age populations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, parents, and educational staff
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and conduct therapy sessions independently
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
- Document progress, prepare reports, and update records in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support students’ educational goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering insight and recommendations for students’ speech and language services
