Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Virginia SLP license required
- SLP-CCC or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcomed
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, teachers, and families
- Commitment to onsite support throughout the school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Provide direct therapy sessions and monitor student progress regularly
- Collaborate closely with educators, staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for students
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Stay current with best practices and compliance standards for school-based SLP services
