Speech Language Pathologist in Fairfax, VA

Make a meaningful impact supporting students in the Prince William County area by providing speech-language pathology services for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role requires a dedicated professional ready to serve students onsite in school locations across Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to help students achieve their communication goals in a supportive and engaging environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Virginia SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) considered
- Previous experience in school-based SLP roles is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Availability to work onsite throughout the duration of the contract
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to K-12 students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain detailed documentation
- Collaborate actively with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams within the school community
- Deliver therapy sessions according to student needs, tracking progress and modifying plans accordingly
