What We're Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Virginia SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Understanding and enthusiasm for supporting students with diverse needs—including those in autism programs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services onsite to elementary students
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and language disorders
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff, families, and support specialists
- Develop, document, and monitor progress on IEP goals
- Provide expertise and support for two autism program classrooms
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team planning
- Stay current with best practices and interventions in school-based speech therapy
