ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time contract opportunity in Madison, Illinois. This position offers a manageable caseload of approximately 23 students, primarily serving elementary-aged learners in a collaborative school district. The selected SLP will work across a small number of campuses located within blocks of one another, making travel between buildings quick and convenient. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations, assessments, and screenings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to primarily elementary-aged students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and families to support student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
  • Travel between nearby school buildings as needed to provide services to approximately five students at additional campuses.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) or eligibility to obtain one preferred.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Licensing assistance available for qualified candidates.

Experience:

  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
  • Experience with IEPs, evaluations, and multidisciplinary collaboration is beneficial.
  • New graduates meeting Illinois licensure requirements are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Compassionate, student-centered approach to therapy.
  • Flexibility to provide services across multiple nearby school buildings.

Work Hours:
Approximately 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 7.5 hours per day (start time may vary based on the therapy schedule).

Caseload:
Approximately 23 students, primarily elementary-aged, with services provided across nearby campuses.
