Desired Background and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience in a school-based setting, especially with elementary-aged students
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education protocols
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with other educational professionals
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in both group and individual settings
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure holistic student support
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary throughout the maternity leave coverage
