Speech-Language Pathologist in Whittier, CA
Step into an exciting contract role supporting students in the LA area as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. This opportunity begins August 10 and continues through June 10, offering the chance to make a valuable difference in the lives of elementary and some preschool-age learners. Each weekday, you'll work from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, providing expertise and compassion in a welcoming school environment.
What you’ll need to bring:
- Active California SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience is a plus
- Dedication to collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent communication and organization skills
Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments for students
- Developing and implementing individualized IEP goals
- Delivering direct and consultative therapy for students during school hours
- Tracking progress and documenting services according to school and state guidelines
- Working as part of an interdisciplinary team to support each learner’s success
