School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Long Beach, California
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students in the LA area as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. This position runs from August 10 to June 10, working 7 hours per day (7:45 AM - 3:15 PM). You’ll collaborate with a diverse student population, primarily elementary-aged, with some engagement in preschool settings. While caseload details are still being finalized, you’ll play a vital part in assessing communication needs and providing targeted interventions that help young learners thrive.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active California SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working within school settings, particularly with elementary and/or preschool students, preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
- Passion for helping students achieve their fullest potential
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language screenings, evaluations, and therapy for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate and timely records following district and state regulations
- Attend and actively participate in IEP and team meetings
