Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Long Beach, California
An exciting opportunity awaits speech-language pathologists passionate about supporting young learners in a dynamic school environment. This in-person contract position offers both part-time and full-time flexibility for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, with a choice of working 2-3 days per week. You’ll be based across 2-3 school sites (one per day), engaging with pre-kindergarten students near Long Beach, CA.
Ideal candidates hold their CCCs and bring hands-on experience in schools, pediatrics, or healthcare. You’ll work with a manageable caseload of 50-55 students, delivering high-quality speech and language services that shape the academic and social development of the youngest learners.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP-CCC credential required
- Prior PK or elementary school experience strongly preferred
- Background in pediatric or school-based SLP services
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to different school environments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy for pre-kindergarten students
- Conduct evaluations, write reports, and develop IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other support staff
- Travel between 2-3 assigned school sites (one location per workday)
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed to meet student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and related planning sessions
