Speech Language Pathologist in Long Beach, CA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Long Beach, CA, supporting one elementary school with additional coverage at other sites as needed. This contract role begins ASAP and extends through the end of the school year on May 29, 2026. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse student population, including those with moderate to severe speech and language needs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services to a caseload of approximately 45 students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with each student’s goals.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques accordingly.
- Provide support to additional school sites as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP licensure and relevant certifications.
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children.
- Specialized experience with moderate to severe speech and language disorders is highly valued.
- Ability to manage a high caseload effectively and efficiently.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
