Seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist eager to make a difference in a dynamic K-12 school setting for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support students’ communication needs and collaborate with a dedicated special education team. Based near Livonia, MI, this position is located in a welcoming school environment in Ypsilanti. The role is primarily full time (37.5 hours a week), but part-time candidates will also be considered to help find the perfect match for both the professional and the school community.
Qualifications:
- Current Michigan licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist required
- Previous experience working in a school setting, K-12 preferred
- Strong understanding of special education processes and collaboration
- Ability to create effective, individualized therapy plans
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Candidates with SLP-CF credentials are not eligible for this role
- Must be available for onsite work; virtual arrangements are not offered
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain accurate student records
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, support staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Contribute to a supportive learning atmosphere for students with diverse needs
