School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Liverpool, New York
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in dynamic special education settings. This position offers multiple openings in both full-time and part-time capacities, addressing a range of student needs with impactful programming and dedicated support.
Open positions include two full-time roles within a 12:1:3 classroom structure, serving students with autism spectrum disorder and severe multiple disabilities. These roles are based in Onondaga County, near the Syracuse area. For those seeking a more flexible schedule, a part-time position is available in Cortland County, working 3-4 days per week in an 8:1:1 program providing essential behavior support. All roles are set to begin as soon as possible.
Applicants with the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) are highly encouraged. However, clinical fellows (CFs) are welcome, as supportive onsite supervision is available to foster your professional growth.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- SLP-CCC or eligibility; new graduates/CFs considered
- Valid or eligibility for appropriate state licensure
- Experience working with students with autism, multiple disabilities, or severe behavioral needs is a plus
- Collaborative skills for working within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to supporting communication in diverse learner populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct evaluations, document progress, and maintain compliance records
- Deliver interventions for speech, language, and social communication
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Contribute to positive behavioral strategies and classroom support
