Speech Language Pathologist in Liberty, MO
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ success at an elementary school in the North Kansas City area! This contract role starts as soon as possible and runs through early December, with the potential for extension.
In this speech-language position, you’ll bring your expertise to a diverse caseload that includes 1st, 2nd, and 5th graders, as well as students in cross-categorical and FIT classrooms. You’ll work with one elementary student, one 3rd grader, two kindergarteners, and flex your skills by leading an engaging in-class language group for the FIT room every Tuesday. Typical duties also involve morning and afternoon supervision—helping with car rider drop-off and guiding second grade and kindergarten ball field walkers during dismissal.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid and active Missouri SLP (CCC preferred) or SLPA license
- Prior experience in school-based settings and working with elementary students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable with diverse caseloads and classroom push-in or language group activities
Role Highlights:
- Serve 37 direct students, consult for 2 or more others, with a pending third consult
- Full-time, school-based hours: 8:50 a.m. to 4:25 p.m., Monday–Friday
- Support a welcoming and inclusive education environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide high-quality therapy services
- Conduct in-class language sessions, direct therapy, and consults as needed
- Participate in school routines, including car rider and dismissal duties
