As a school-based SLP, you’ll work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments. Evaluate and treat speech, language, and communication disorders, develop personalized intervention plans, and monitor progress to foster students’ communication success. Your expertise will be valued as you provide direct therapy, conduct assessments, and participate in IEP meetings.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Hold a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or pending state licensure or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or clinical fellowship candidates considered
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong skills in conducting speech/language assessments and developing IEPs
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students with varied needs
- Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to support student goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and progress monitoring
- Maintain thorough and accurate records in accordance with school policies
- Assist with transition planning and offer support as students advance grades or schools
