Bring your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist to a dynamic school environment in the vibrant Fort Myers area! This full-year contract role offers the chance to serve students across multiple campuses, working onsite to help children reach their communication goals. Multiple full-time and part-time opportunities are available to fit your professional and personal preferences.
You'll collaborate with educators and families to support students’ speech and language development, adapting your schedule and caseload according to site needs. Some campuses can be combined to create one full-time assignment, and placements are available at both elementary and secondary schools.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and valid Florida teaching certification and/or active FL DOH SLP license
- Experience in K-12 educational settings preferred (new graduates with appropriate licensure encouraged to apply)
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage diverse caseloads
- Willingness to complete school district-specific fingerprinting and badge verification processes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conducting screenings, evaluations, and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student progress
- Providing direct therapy services and maintaining thorough documentation
- Participating in staff meetings, professional development, and special education activities
