Speech Language Pathologist in Lawrence, MA
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant learning environment near Lawrence, MA. This maternity leave position runs from November 2026 through March 2027, offering you the opportunity to make a significant difference during the school year. With a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 am to 2:33 pm, you’ll work 34 hours each week with a manageable caseload, supported by an SLPA.
Your expertise will directly benefit young learners within one school setting, focusing on speech and language goals as part of a collaborative and welcoming team. Prior experience in educational settings is highly valued, and CCCs are required. Please note: No CFs will be considered for this assignment.
What you’ll need:
- Valid licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Speech and Hearing Disabilities (all levels)
- Massachusetts Board of Allied Health license or eligibility
- Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA, CCC)
- Experience in school-based speech therapy, particularly at the elementary level
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine speech and language needs
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy and consultation as needed for the caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Guide and support the assigned SLPA
