School Speech Language Pathologist - Laurel, MD

Several long-term substitute positions are available, each offering a full-time schedule with a variety of caseloads to match your expertise and interests. These openings require onsite presence, making it an engaging experience collaborating with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Current needs include placements at multiple elementary schools, with schedules ranging from immediate start through mid-February and potential extension through the end of the academic year. Each school serves a unique student population, including general education, early childhood, regional support programs, and inclusive classrooms. Prior experience with AAC and early intervention is highly valued.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Maryland SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates onsite only
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Familiarity with AAC devices and early childhood caseloads is an asset
- Strong collaboration and organizational abilities
- Commitment to delivering inclusive, student-centered services
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, intervention, and therapy for students with communication needs
- Develop and implement IEP goals, progress reports, and documentation
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes
- Contribute to multitiered systems of support and participate in team meetings
- Maintain compliance with state and district policies and guidelines
