Ideal candidates will possess:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates are welcome
- Experience working with school-aged children or in a school environment strongly desired
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Dedication to supporting students’ individual education plans (IEPs)
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating and assessing students referred for speech and language services
- Developing and delivering individualized therapy sessions
- Creating, implementing, and monitoring IEPs in accordance with district and state laws
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other specialists to maximize student progress
- Documenting progress, maintaining records, and preparing required reports
- Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Providing guidance and resources to staff and families regarding communication disorders
