Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Lakewood, Ohio
A full-time opportunity is now available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to support K-5th grade students in a school-based contract role. This assignment begins August 7, 2026 and continues through May 28, 2027, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families to help students build essential communication and language skills as they progress through their educational journey.
Preferred qualifications & experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY candidates encouraged to apply)
- Experience providing pediatric speech therapy, preferably in a school setting
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and goal setting
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Current state licensure (or ability to obtain before the start date)
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students in kindergarten through 5th grade
- Conduct evaluations, document progress, and participate in eligibility/IEP meetings
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, parents, and other professionals
- Maintain thorough and timely records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and a student-centered approach
- Provide support and resources to families and staff as needed
