Key Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Florida State License in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience serving school-aged children, preferably in elementary settings
- Ability to provide compassionate 1:1 care and adapt to diverse student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working alongside educators and other support staff
- Detail-oriented and organized, particularly regarding documentation and session reporting
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech-language evaluations for elementary students, identifying their abilities and needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings
- Deliver direct therapy sessions with a 1:1 approach, focusing on student-specific goals
- Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, special educators, and family members to maximize student progress
- Maintain clear and accurate session notes and progress documentation in alignment with school and licensure requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development, sharing insights from evaluations and treatment sessions
