Key qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP in Michigan
- Previous experience with early childhood or preschool populations preferred
- Strong ability to engage and motivate young children
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Role responsibilities:
- Evaluate children to identify speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that support each student’s learning goals
- Provide direct therapy services in a preschool setting at Kid’s and Company
- Maintain timely and accurate records according to school and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress reporting, and goal setting
- Consult with staff and parents to support carryover of strategies into classroom and home life
