Speech Language Pathologist in Kenner, LA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and learning needs! This role is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists with their CCC or those completing their Clinical Fellowship, eager to make a positive difference in a dynamic school environment. You’ll serve elementary-aged students and work closely with educators to provide top-tier speech and language services from September 14th through November 30th, covering a maternity leave.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license in Louisiana (or eligibility for licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but open to strong Clinical Fellows
- Experience in school settings and supporting diverse caseloads preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Passion for helping students of varying abilities reach their fullest potential
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for students in elementary grades
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide direct therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each student
- Monitor progress and document all sessions, evaluations, and communications in compliance with school and state regulations
- Engage with school administration as an active member of the student support team
What to Expect:
- Full-time, onsite position (37.5 hours/week) from mid-September through Thanksgiving
- Manage a caseload of 50–60 elementary students within an inclusive, supportive environment
