Travel Speech and Language Pathologist in Jordan, NY
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025–2026 school year in a K-12 setting located in Jordan, NY. This position primarily serves elementary students, with some high school students included, offering a dynamic caseload of approximately 28 students each requiring individualized support. The role is travel-based, providing the experience of working within a vibrant Upstate New York community from September through June.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans.
- Deliver direct therapy services tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to implement appropriate accommodations and modifications.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal setting and educational planning.
- Provide guidance and support to parents and caregivers to foster student success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with educators and families.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and educational laws related to special education services.
