Make a difference in the lives of students while growing your skills as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist near Jersey City, NJ! Two rewarding short-term assignments are now available, each offering a unique opportunity to support students’ communication development in a dynamic school setting.
Role A: Provide speech-language services to an elementary caseload of 53 students in grades K-4, including those in ESLS and integrated classroom resource (ICR) settings. This is a 3 to 4 week assignment beginning 10/27/26 and ending mid-November, supporting students at three elementary campuses.
Role B: Join a supportive team on a 12 to 16 week assignment starting 10/26/26 through mid-February, working at a single location. Caseload details will be shared during the interview process.
Both roles offer a potential for extension and combination with future assignments, for those seeking a full-year experience.
Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and SLP-CCC required (CFs may be considered; district does not provide supervision)
- New Jersey SLP licensure (or ability to obtain)
- Prior experience in pediatric or special education school settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and ability to attend and contribute to IEP meetings
- Proficient in providing therapy to diverse learners, including ESLS and ICR students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy in accordance with students’ IEP goals
- Maintain accurate service records, progress notes, and timely documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate student progress effectively
