Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Jersey City, NJ

This contract position focuses on providing exceptional Speech-Language Pathology services to a diverse caseload, supporting students individually and through Early Intervention programming. You’ll play a vital role by conducting evaluations, implementing treatment plans, and participating in IEP meetings, ensuring each student’s voice is heard and progress is achieved.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid Speech-Language Pathology certification is required—no exceptions.
- All necessary certifications and clearances must be complete and verifiable.
- Fingerprint clearance is mandatory to begin assignment.
- Experience working within school settings, including with IEPs and Early Intervention populations.
- Familiarity or expertise with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices is strongly preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with educational teams, parents, and support staff effectively.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, individualized speech and language therapy to a growing caseload, currently 35+ students.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and contribute meaningful input to IEP meetings.
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans, adapting as student needs evolve.
- Coordinate closely with Early Intervention services for young learners.
- Maintain detailed student documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Use augmentative communication devices to support non-verbal or minimally verbal students as needed.
