School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Elizabeth, New Jersey

This position supports a growing caseload—currently 35 students seen individually, with additional referrals anticipated through Early Intervention. Your expertise will be essential not only in assessment and therapy but also in contributing meaningfully to IEP teams. To be considered for this role, be sure you meet all credentialing requirements—these are mandatory, with no exceptions. Fingerprint clearance is also required.
Key Qualifications:
- State-issued Speech-Language Pathology certification (all required certs must be current and in hand)
- Recent fingerprint clearance
- Experience delivering speech/language therapy in a school setting
- Proficiency with or willingness to learn augmentative communication devices
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and participation
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individual therapy services for a dynamic caseload
- Evaluate students and create or adapt treatment plans
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with families and staff
- Adapt services to meet the needs of students entering from Early Intervention
